Such drama!

This week Miss Tolia came to visit to teach us drama!

First she read us a story before morning tea. We also learnt a new game called Frog in a Pond.

Then we used our bodies to make different shapes and objects, including a house, a car, a washing machine and a shower!

Later, we took to the stage to learn about scenes. Here is Mmily acting out a scene in which Tolia was scared of a tarantula! Scary stuff and fantastic acting by Mmily.

Here is Jeziah having his turn to perform on stage.

For many of us this was our first time acting. As you can see, we were naturals! Asmah had to use her imagination here to improvise a scene with Tolia. Can you guess what was happening?

Our final photo is of Agnes and Tolia playing at the playground. What do you think they are doing?

We had a great time with Tolia and wrote her thank you letters for the time she spent with us. Who knows, maybe one day you'll see us performing at the theatre or in the movies!

  1. Talofa lava Walters Class!

I really enjoyed reading about your drama lesson, but I loved seeing the photos even more!re You are so lucky to have Miss Tolia visit your classroom and share her expertise with you!

I wonder if Asmah is being a wizard like Harry Potter. Tolia looks very frightened!

In your final photo, Agnes and Tolia look like the might be on the monkey bars. Am I correct?

I'm looking forward to seeing more of your acting skills as you get older! Maybe you could do a performance at your next assembly?

    1. Kia ora Mrs Eagleson,

Thank you for commenting on our blog post.
You were correct about Asmah being a wizard! She was turning Tolia into a frog. Good guess, but Agnes and Tolia were on a swing, not the monkey bars!

We think that performing a play at our next assembly in Term 4 would be a great idea.

      Sincerely, Walters Class

  2. Mi name is Romeo From Wesley primary school. I love the way how you share your photos. Was it fun? I think that the little girl was casting a spell on Tolia. In the next photo they were having a party or something. Am I right? 🥰
